After six days filled with contemporary artwork, artist talks, music and live performances, the House of African Art (HAART) has officially launched! A huge thank you to everyone who came down to the launch and showed your support for our vision and the artists. We are delighted with the outcome of the launch and the positive feedback that we have received.

 

Here are some key highlights:

• London-based television channel London Live came to the Hoxton Arches to film the exhibition and were interested to hear about our future plans for the platform.

 

• RTE Radio station came in to witness and record the launch, conducting interviews with the exhibiting artists and HAART founder, Maryam Lawal.

​

• Magazines including Harpers Bazaar Art Arabia and Huck Magazine covered the inaugural exhibition, describing HAART as a new disruptive voice in the contemporary African art scene.
